You Are Not Alone, You Are Here

"On a bad day there is always lipstick."
My days finally came down to their final, I'll admit I missed home a little bit so I didn't mind leaving this amazing Parisian life of mine unattended for a little bit. I spent a weekend in Dourdan a city about an hour outside of Paris. It was just what I needed, you can say I disappeared from earth for a good 72 hours. No internet life, no phone life, just some family time and good vibes. I've been back in the states for less than 24 hours now and keep speaking French in my head; meanwhile you can now find me in Austin for SXSW... party.

A Caffinated Story

"someone who disrupts the daily drag of life just enough to leave the victim thinking there's maybe more to it all then the mere hum-drum quality of existence."
After making our way to the last preview of the day,  I don't think Zucca could have done us wrong. Mostly because there was plaid involved; red plaid to be exact. The collection screamed futuristic tendencies of what casual and comfortable should look like when they're in love.

I'm Here To Party At The Hotel De Crillon

"It was so gorgeous it almost felt like sadness."
I often question myself "what is my life?" not in any negative way of course, but how do I end up getting to see such amazing and beautiful places. One of those places was the Hotel De Crillon... here is where the good life lies. Everything I touched and walked through was beautiful,  keep in mind that these photos do no justice. Here is the day that Eliza (sweet British gal)  and I got to preview Farah Khan and Aperlai.

Rock n' Roll Kinda Love

"Coffee keeps me busy until it's acceptable to drink wine."
I made my way to the Alice + Olivia showroom preview, the inspiration behind this Autumn/ Winter 2013 collection is "street style fantasy" let's just say that Stacey Bendet has never let me down. It was my dream world of the perfect mixes of leather and plaid all on one frock.

Adopted By Anyone With Freedom In Their Soul

"Fashion changes how people are really going to understand who you are, and how you want to communicate."
After arriving in Paris just like pretty much anyone would say it's something different. The city, the mix of cultures, the language, and the style. I'm in awe with the hundreds of cozy coffee shops (I've grown a recent love for espresso and perrier) the amazing food, and the crazy amount of street style along with random little rues you come in contact with while getting lost. I haven't really had much time to spare for retail therapy due to my trying of making it on time to previews and everything related in between but here are some of the views I'd like to imbed in my brain... it's almost as though I understand the inspirations of the world a little bit better.

like any solitary journey, I hoped to find a piece of myself at least

 "Why were Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Geniuses?"
I could spend hours telling you the tales of all my travels, but none of them would compare to the ties of currently being in Paris. At 21 I'm making my way and getting lost, just to find my way again with my broken French. I'm currently writing again for a brilliant international website and assisting a genius fashion designer. These days I've been spending most of my hours at Premiere Classe at the Tuileries and a little time at Capsule; I'll admit they have been on my to-do list since my first days as a writer... I've met the most inspiring creatives (which I'll slowly introduce in an interview series I'm working on,) polishing up my coding skills, being pushed by Fergie due to paparazzi fiascos, and containing my conniptions for the Alice and Olivia showroom preview tomorrow... here's a cheers to a new internet chapter, but for now I'm just going to keep absorbing the brilliance of Paris. Just for the record, I have a not so secret videofyme account which I update on a daily basis through my foreign ventures.

P.S. Read what this blog is all about here.
